BAHAN HOT MELT ADHESIVE

HOT MELT ADHESIVES COMPOSITIONS

Hot melt adhesive memiliki komposisi yang terdiri dari satu atau lebih ethylene based copolymers, dengan dosis penggunaan  tidak lebih dari 27 % dari berat tackifying agent dan bahan lilin. 

Hot melt adhesive pada suhu ruangan berbentuk padat dan meleleh pada temperatur tinggi. Hot melt adhesive dapat  dapat digunakan untuk aplikasi kemasan, spt : karton box, casing/pelindung wadah atau nampan.

Hot melt adhesive atau perekat hot melt yang digunakan pada kemasan haruslah memiliki daya rekat pada berbagai temperatur, tahan panas dan penentuan waktu yang layak pada berbagai aplikasi yang diharapkan di pasaran.

Hot melt adhesive yang digunakan pada kemasan dibuat dari berbagai maçam bahan dasar polymers yang berbeda-beda termasuk ethylene based copolymers, seperti : ethylene vinyl acetate.

Hot melt adhesive yang digunakan pada kemasan komposisi termasuk tackifying agent dan bahan lilin. Tackifying agent yang digunakan bersama dengan  ethylene vinyl acetate type polymers sering kali bersifat polar tackifying agent seperti rosin dan resin terpenten functional. Di beberapa aplikasi dapat digunakan hydrogenated hydrocarbon berbahan dasar tackifying agent untuk menurunkan warna dari hot melt adhesive tersebut.

HOT MELT ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS AS FOLLOWS :

        agents and combinations thereof.

The term lubricants is used by a variety of specialists to cover a range of chemicals that are added to plastics to improve a variety of performance characteristics in processing or in final properties. When they are used to improve processing, the field may expand to include other types of processing aids. When they are used to improve final properties, the field may expand to include other properties beyond lubrication.

Aluminium alloy adalah komponen yang di gunakan untuk berbagai aplikasi, seperti bagian pada kendaraan bermotor, konstruksi pesawat terbang. Kombinasi sifatnya yang keras, ringan dan tahan terhadap karat membuat bahan alloy ini cocok digunakan untuk kendaraan hemat bahan bakar. Masalanya adalah untuk membuat sesuatu mempergunakan bahan alloy ini memiliki kecenderungan menimbulkan noda bila bersentuhan dengan pengerjaan logam yang berbasis air . Air sendiri dapat menimbulkan bercak noda bila bersentuhan dengan aluminium, seperti pada beberapa bahan tambahan seperti amino alcohols. Bercak noda yang muncul tidak diharapkan karena dapat menimbulkan efek tampilan yang kurang baik pada permukaan produk akhir.  Bercak noda suga dapat menimbulkan masalah pada baja galvanized dan galvaneal.

Solusi untuk mengatasi bercak noda atau karat pada aluminium dan baja maka dapat digunakan CORRGUARDTM SI yang bersifat multi fungsi, dan ramah lingkungan.  Bahan ini efektif sebagai bahan anti karat dengan dosis penggunaan yang rendah sekitar 0.05%. Bahan ini bebas sillika dan bahan fosfor dan cocok untuk formulasi yang tahan lama bioresistant.

HPMC as Thickening Agent

Synonyms: HPMC, methylhydroxyprop(ox)yl cellulose, MHPC, 2-hydroxy- propyl ether of methylcellulose, hypromellose 

The hydroxypropylmethylcelluloses basically have the same character as the pure methylcelluloses. 

Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) is a water-soluble, high-purity, non-ionic cellulose ether. Methocel products function as thickener, binder and rheology modifier. The combination of properties present simultaneously brings economic advantages versus other polymers.

Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose having a medium to high the degree of substitution/ DS (1.5–2.0) is very soluble in cold water (0–30 °C (32–86 °F)). The solubility of HPMCs is improved compared with that of pure methylcelluloses.   Transparent colloidal solutions of low to high viscosity are formed, depending on the degree of polymerization and the substance concentration. 

Like powdered methylcellulose, HPMC also tends to form lumps when trans- ferred to cold water because of its high speed of hydration. Clear solubility and transparency can be increased by short- term cooling to 0–5 °C (32–41 °F).

Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (DS 1.5–2.0) is insoluble in: 

• hot water at temperatures above about 55 °C (131 °F);
  
• ethanol (100%) – but soluble in mixtures of EtOH with water (up to 90 : 10); 
• fats, oils.
